How to List Qualifications on Your CV

Positioning Depends on Career Stage
If you’re early in your career, with up to a year of experience, your qualifications will be central to your CV. In this case, list them right after your profile or summary section. As you gain more experience, move the qualifications section towards the end, mentioning key qualifications briefly in your profile.

Avoid Dates to Prevent Age Discrimination
When listing qualifications, avoid including dates to reduce the risk of age discrimination. Focus on the qualification itself, such as "BA (Hons) Business Administration (2:1),” followed by the university name. For school education, list subjects and grades, e.g., "Three A-levels: Maths (B), English (C), Geography (A)."

Separate Education and Professional Qualifications if Necessary
If you have multiple qualifications, consider splitting them into "Education" and "Professional Qualifications." Include items like "PRINCE2 Project Management" under professional qualifications, and avoid listing the course provider or institution details unless relevant.
