Prior to joining CVIA I was employed as a Senior Operational Telecommunications manager with British Telecommunications Plc with responsibility for the delivery of leading-edge technology projects to deliver transformational change to BT’s Voice and Data networks and systems.
With over 20 years a senior project Manager my expertise lies in programme and project management, engineering, IT, infrastructure and network migrations. I was proud to lead a number of new technology deployments and migrations as part of BT’s 21st Century Network evolution programme to create a simplified network with Ethernet access to an international MPLS backbone on which all services are carried.
As an Operations Manager I was responsible for managing a large 24*7 Migration Control Centre with a team of over 100 engineers and line managers undertaking complex network migrations.
I have also worked closely with HR business partners over many years to introduce several people programmes and have extensive experience in the recruitment of apprentices, graduate entrants, engineers and managers as one of BT’s licensed trainers and recruiters.
Other key areas that I have work in include software engineering, automated testing, quality management systems, lean process improvement, new product introduction and network management.
