Joanna Murchie is an award-winning CV writer, careers consultant and interview coach, with a Masters in English from Cambridge University. She also has personal experience of the challenges faced by military spouses, having been married to the Royal Navy for 14 years.

With a background in senior management in the international media sector, she has wide experience in leadership, sales, marketing, media production and recruitment. Having started out with the BBC and various independent production companies, she became the youngest ever Director of Sales for Warner Bros. International Television, closing record-breaking multi-million dollar deals in over 50 countries worldwide for titles including the Harry Potter films. After starting a family in 2008, she took the life changing decision to be a stay at home mum, retrained as a careers advisor, and joined CVIA in March 2015.

Passionate about all things CV-related, Joanna is often called on as a go-to expert by BBC Radio, and regularly writes for the national press on the subject. She also enjoys public speaking, presenting workshops and delivering webinars on behalf of CVIA. In 2013 she was awarded a News Woman of the Year Award for her services to those seeking employment, and in the same year was named as one of UK Mumpreneur’s Top Ten International Businesswomen.
